Beginnings

In November of 2007, God put a vision in the heart of our founding pastor to plant a church that would seek to reach every generation in Northeast Ohio with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

With the help of a small and faithful team, NEO Church opened its doors in the form of a Bible study on Wednesday evenings. Soon, the barn where we had been meeting was overflowing. It was clear we were in need of a larger location.

Given the vision to reach all of NE Ohio, a location central to both Cleveland and its suburbs was ideal. On July 6, 2008, God opened the doors for the first Sunday morning service at the Independence Middle School on Archwood Road. This location was perfect because it was so close to two major highways: I-480 and I-77, running east, west, north and south of Cleveland.

In July of 2018, Pastor Jeremy Johnson became the second Senior Pastor of NEO Church.  He has the same energy, passion and vision of seeing Northeast Ohio reached for Christ as Pastor Dan.  You can read more about Pastor Jeremy and NEO’s leaders team under the Leaders page.

In late October 2019, God blessed NEO Church with its own church building!  We had been praying for, researching and looking for a church home for many years.  On November 17, 2019, in just over 3 weeks, with the help of many volunteers and of course the grace of God, we held our first services in our new home.  We are excited about the future and what God is doing in Cleveland!
